Connecting Black female talent to opportunity

Shaping the future of our industry by building networks that are all too often out of reach for women like us.

“The industry recruits through networks – one job leads to the other…but if we look in the same places for the same people, the industry will never change.”Jasmin John, Founder

WHAT IS THE BWIPP NETWORK?

A community for Black and Black Mixed heritage women working or looking to work in post production.

Members will have the opportunity to connect, share job opportunities, learn and receive support in navigating their way through an industry largely dominated by cronyism and tokenism.

Our Mission

We aim to empower, inspire and nurture Black and Black Mixed heritage women to amplify their value in post production.

Our Purpose

We are keen to transform the status quo by increasing access to the industry and building connections through vibrant networks.

Our Location

BWIPP operates online to maximise equal access and opportunity across the UK because we believe that every Black female deserves equal access, no matter where they are located.

INDUSTRY AND BRAND PARTNERS

BWIPP thrives on strong links with industry and brands. We take pride in our partnerships and the support they offer through sponsorship.

Check out what our members say

“With a network like this and multiple Black women being hired for various jobs – not just to fill a quota, we will own the room. I know we will have each other’s back, feel connected and no longer feel like the only Black person in the room.”
RAY, Edit Trainee
“It’s so empowering to be part of a network that encourages and supports Black women – BWIPP provides a safe space in a digital community where I can connect with other like-minded women in the same industry, support those rising up the ranks and learn from those a few years ahead of me.”
KAREN, Video Producer
